Assumption Academy provides Before and After Care for students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our philosophy is to provide a place where the children will receive quality care in a safe, well-maintained and pleasant environment.

Before Care is provided for those students whose parents need an early start, and is a quiet time for children to get ready for their school day. After Care includes time for snack, structured activities, homework assignments, and indoor or outdoor playtime. The students will have monitored access to computers with internet service in the Before care program.

Before Care is held in the library and children are escorted from Before Care to the cafeteria when it is time for their teachers to bring them to their classrooms. After Care begins in the cafeteria, and students are escorted there by their classroom teacher or aide.

Before and After Care is staffed with teachers from the Academy and other long-time approved caregivers who meet the necessary standards. A child can only be released to a parent or to a person authorized, in writing, by a parent. Authorized individuals must show identification to pick-up a child.

Hours of Operation:
Before School: 6:45 – 8:00am
After School: 3:00 – 6:00pm
3 to 3:30 – Snack in the Cafeteria
3:30 to 4:30 – Structured Activity Time
     Pk3 thru 1st Grade in the Pk House in the playground area
     2nd thru 8th Grade in the Church's lower hall
4:30 to 6:00 – Free Play Activities or Homework Time
When weather permits, the children will play on the playground.
In inclement weather, the children will be in The PK House.

Please note that on days when the school is closed for Holidays that childcare will operate from 6:45am-6:00pm only if registration is adequate for that day or days. A general guideline would be that a minimum of five children must be registered.

For before school care, there is a flat fee of $5.00 regardless of the time of a child’s arrival. In the afternoon, any part of an hour is considered an extra hour and the full $5.00 charge will apply. There is a $15 fee per 15 minutes applied for any pick-up after 6:00pm.

We ask that you kindly fill out the monthly calendar and submit with payment at the beginning of each month.
If payment is not received by the end of the first week of the month your child will not be allowed to attend before or after care.
